Profesional Test Manager (external) (m/f/d)

The product Customer Data is looking for a Test Specialist with full QA ownership. The team is responsible for different back-end applications that process customer related data. One major application is a customer data platform which consolidates data from marketing data sources and prepares the data for activation in different marketing channels (e.g. social media, email marketing). Furthermore the data is used for analytical purposes. Another major application processes transactional purchase data from the different POS of REWE Group to make it available to both analytical and operational consumers.
What you will do:
· As part of the team, you are responsible for Quality assurance (for manual and automated testing) in our team. You stay on top of things and keep a constant eye on the quality of our IT solutions. The customer data platform is based on different GCP services (e.g. Dataflow, Cloud Functions). The platform development is based on Python, Java and Terraform, furthermore SQL related technologies like Google BigQuery and Snowflake are in use. The transactional data processing platform is based on Spring boot, Apache Spark, Java, MapR, Kafka
· Execution of load and performance tests
· Coordination and support of integration tests and E2E tests in collaboration with the departments involved
· Ensure transparent and efficient defect reporting and resolution
· Design and implement product-specific test automation concepts
· Operation and maintenance of the test automation solution in accordance with system changes (framework upgrades, requirement changes, keeping CICD updated)
· Development of a tool for automated test data generation for GCP BigQuery
· Work closely together in an agile (development) team with members located in Germany and Spain (team language will be English)
What you will bring:
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a test specialist (manual + automated testing) in your latest projects
- In-depth knowledge of test automation development
- Knowledge in following technologies
o API-Testing (ReadyAPI, Insomnia, JMeter)
o Programming and Scripting (Python, Java, Bash)
o Experience with Cloud Platforms (preferred GCP)
o Data Streaming technology (Kafka, Apache Drill, Apache Spark)
o Version Control (GitHub,GitLab)
- Interest or experience in being part of agile teams (Scrum)
- Extensive experience in using test management tools such as Xray or Spira for test management and progress tracking
- High degree of self-organization, initiative, and sense of responsibility
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Agile mindset
Nice to have
- Familiarity with IntelliJ IDEA and Visual Studio Code
- Knowledge of Logging and Monitoring (LogScale, Grafana)
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform
- Snowflake knowledge
