SAP ABAP Developer / Purchasing processes (m/f/d)

For REWE Digital Spain a subsidiary of the REWE Group, located in the Technological Park of Andalusia (PTA) in Malaga we are looking for an SAP ABAP Developer (m/f/d). The Indirect Procurement Product team take care of smooth procurement processes for non-trade goods with a focus on our direct colleague. They see selves as service providers and supporters and are always looking for the best solution for our specialist departments and users in the stores, warehouses and central locations using our standard systems SAP ARIBA, SAP ERP and SAP S/4HANA.

As the central solution provider for information and telecommunications systems we plan, develop, configure, and operate efficient systems and applications for the REWE Group, one of the leading trade and tourism groups in Germany and Europe with around 380,000 employees. Our team of over 2,200 IT specialists sets standards for IT implementation in the retail industry and develops new technologies for the sector. Currently, we manage more than 80 logistics centers, 100 wide area network cables, and over 23,000 local network connections to ensure continuous data supply to the 32,000 scanner check-out desks in more than 7,300 stores.

What you will do:

In your position as a software engineer, you may also take on tasks as requirements engineer and
process manager in addition to the classic activities of an SAP ABAP developer. You can look forward
to these exciting topics, among others:

  • You plan and develop sophisticated, company-specific applications in the S/4HANA and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) environment based on ABAP OO programming and RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP).
  • Our SAP WEB Portal contains interfaces such as Web Dynpro ABAP, which you will gradually replace in the direction of Fiori and BTP.
  • You will design, test and implement complex SAP/NON-SAP interfaces using modern web technologies.
  • Thanks to the networking of all SAP technology experts with our basic product SAP ERP Development, you will receive regular training and further education in the form of workshops and other in-house training courses.
  • Your job will make your colleagues' work easier! You will optimize business processes, develop solutions for digitalization and harmonization measures in procurement in connection with relevant SAP systems and support the operational implementation.
  • By recording the commercial processes and familiarizing yourself with the systems, you will get a picture of the current status.
  • You stay on top of things and keep a constant eye on the quality of our solutions. You will
    also work closely with the specialist departments to find valuable ideas for further
    improvements.
  • To ensure that not only our systems continue to develop, but also you as a person, you use

    technical knowledge and be prepared for the future.

  • Several years of experience (4+) in programming with ABAP/ -OO and SAP MM & SD modules.
  • You are apt in handling various development methods and tools, a valuable addition would be existing knowledge in the area of S/4 HANA.
  • You have good experience in interface programming, such as IDOC, REST or batch input.
  • Ideal if you have experience in configuring and customizing in the SAP world.
  • A very good command of English is a basic requirement for our communication.
  • It's fine if you already have experience in working according to agile procedures and can infect your teammates with your enthusiasm - but enthusiasm alone is enough for us.
  • And last but not least: The basis for all this is your degree in business administration, (business) informatics or a comparable qualification.
