Solution Architect (m/f/d)
For REWE Digital Spain a subsidiary of the REWE Group, located in the Technological Park of Andalusia (PTA) in Malaga we are looking for a Solution Architect who will work in the domain Customer Relations & Sales, primarily with the Customer Data product team that is responsible for ingestion marketing data sources and preparing the data for analytics and marketing so that they can be used on e.g. social media and e-commerce.
As the central solution provider for information and telecommunications systems we plan, develop,
configure, and operate efficient systems and applications for the REWE Group, one of the leading
trade and tourism groups in Germany and Europe with around 380,000 employees. Our team of
over 2,200 IT specialists sets standards for IT implementation in the retail industry and develops new
technologies for the sector. Currently, we manage more than 80 logistics centers, 100 wide area
network cables, and over 23,000 local network connections to ensure continuous data supply to the
32,000 scanner check-out desks in more than 7,300 stores.
What you will do:
- You are responsible to develop architecture target models and transformation paths.
- You drive the architectural development of respective products alongside Product Owners and Engineers, ensuring the creation of viable architectures.
- You assess existing architectures based on functional and qualitative requirements, adherence to architectural principles, technical debt, and relevant technology trends, among other factors.
- You stay up-to-date with the latest developments in IT, particularly in the areas of cloud-native, data, integration architecture, and related fields.
What you will bring:
- An understanding of modern IT architecture design in the context of agile teams, cloud platforms (like GCP) container technologies (such as Kubernetes), microservices architectures, and design thinking.
- Proficiency in well-known IT architecture methodologies, such as design patterns, iSAQB, Archimate, or arc42.
- Professional experience in the design and implementation of software systems.
- Strong knowledge of data and integration architecture, encompassing both general concepts like data mesh and event-driven architecture
- Ability to absorb and analyze complex issues in a structured manner.
- Interest or experience in being part of agile teams (Scrum)
- Strong verbal and written skills in English
Nice to have:
- Knowledge about DevOps practices (including Git, Terraform, etc.)
- Knowledge in Phyton or Java
- Knowledge in Kafka and Apache Beam
