Fullstack Developer (m/f/d)

For REWE digital Spain, a subsidiary of REWE Group, located in the Technological Park of Andalusia
(PTA) in Malaga we are looking for a Fullstack Developer (m/f/d) that will be part of the Store
Task management that its responsible to manage the Tasks/requirements.


As the central solution provider for information and telecommunications systems we plan, develop,
configure, and operate efficient systems and applications for the REWE Group, one of the leading
trade and tourism groups in Germany and Europe with around 380,000 employees. Our team of over
2,200 IT specialists sets standards for IT implementation in the retail industry and develops new
technologies for the sector. Currently, we manage more than 80 logistics centers, 100 wide area
network cables, and over 23,000 local network connections to ensure continuous data supply to the
32,000 scanner check-out desks in more than 7,300 stores.

What you will do:

  • Develop and maintain web applications and service APIs for German retailer REWE Group
  • Design, programming, quality assurance and documentation of the code
  • Depending on the product enviroment, use the back- or frontend technology
  • Code responsible from the very beginning until production enviroment
  • Work closely together with a German product team (English language)

What you will bring:

  • Degree in Computer Sciences or related field 
  • Several years of experience in Java, JavaScript and cloud technologies (eg. Kubernetes, Docker, Maven, Java 11+, Gitlab, Helm) implementing web applications or microservices in cloud enviroments
  • Good knowledge of open-source frameworks, e.g. Angular (rxjs/ngrx) or React, Spring Boot and Spring Core
  • Detailed knowledge and experience in operating of private and public cloud applications
  • Experience with TDD, especiall JUnit 5 and Mockito or similiar
  • Experience in development of REST APIs or comparable standard interface paradigms
  • Design and documentation of interfaces based on common methods, such as Swagger or OpenAPI
  • Interested or experienced in being part of agile teams
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and starving to keep learning and touching new languages/ frameworks
  • You live in Spain and you have a valid work permit/ VISA

Nice to have:

  • Experience in Java backend technologies like Kafka, Hibernate/JDBC
  • Experience with Electron
  • Knowledge of German language
