IT Engineer Workflow Automation (m/f/d)

REWE digital Spain is located in the Technological Park of Andalusia (PTA) in Malaga. As a team of 50 colleagues, we drive innovation for REWE digital in Germany.  

  

Working closely with the team in Cologne, you will be responsible for the administration and optimisation of our workflow orchestration solutions to ensure efficient and reliable processes for our business applications. 

We are looking for an IT Engineer to support the modernisation of our Workflow Landscape by creating, implementing, and maintaining innovative technical solutions. Someone who administers Workflow Orchestration solutions to provide the basis for Automation and Self-Service.  

What you will do:

  • Workflow Platform Administration: Implement, Manage and maintain workflow platforms such as Camunda, Airflow, and Google Cloud Composer, ensuring efficient automation of complex business processes and seamless orchestration of tasks across systems. 

  • Shell Scripting or Programming Language:  Use shell scripting or Python to automate routine tasks and processes, improving operational efficiency and reducing errors. 

  • Kubernetes & Container Orchestration: Automate the deployment and scaling of containerized applications, ensuring seamless orchestration and management across clusters. 

  • Google Cloud Technologies: Use Google Cloud Platform solutions to implement and manage workflow automation in the cloud. 

  • CI/CD Pipeline: Design and implement robust continuous integration and deployment processes to automate and streamline software delivery. 

What you will bring:

  • Degree in Computer Science or related field  

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and eager to learn and explore new skills  

  • Knowledge of general concepts of Automation and APIs   

  • Complete fluency in written and spoken English   

  • You live in Spain, and you have a valid work permit/VISA (without sponsorship)

Key skills

  • Automation: Experience with automating infrastructure and application workflows.  

  • Linux: Strong command over Linux systems, including configuration and troubleshooting, with proficiency in automating system administration tasks to improve operational efficiency.  

  • Kubernetes & Container Orchestration: Proficiency in deploying and managing microservices across Kubernetes clusters, with expertise in automating the deployment and scaling of containerized applications for efficient orchestration. 

  • REST / API: In-depth experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs, with a focus on automating API interactions to streamline data exchange and minimize manual configurations.  

  • GITLAB: Advanced skills in using GitLab for version control and collaborative development, with the ability to automate integration processes to enhance overall workflow efficiency.
